Software Changes Are Required

 

Since the implementation of PatchMyPC to the network, users have started to see the following message:

Software changes are required by your IT department.

This most often means software is installed which PatchMyPC has found an update for.

To complete these updates:

  1. At home connect to the VPN (On campus you can either connect to eduroam, or ethernet and not necessary to connect to VPN)
  2. Open the Start menu & search for “Software Center”.
  3. Open the “Updates” tab on the left-hand side.
  4. Click the “Install all” button.
  5. If an update tries to run on an open application, it will update on the next restart.
