The library has a plotter that can print posters at A0 or A1 size.  This is located at the rear of the Main PC Area on level 3:

To print to the plotter, you need to be logged on to a PC in the library - it cannot be used via the Webprint portal.

Open the file you want to print, go to File > Print, and select a printer from these options based upon the type of print you are looking for:

  • LIBLEV3-PLOTTER_A0_COLOUR
  • LIBLEV3-PLOTTER_A0_MONO
  • LIBLEV3-PLOTTER_A1_COLOUR
  • LIBLEV3-PLOTTER_A1_MONO

Once the file has been sent, log in to the plotter on its touchscreen and press the "Print all" button, or the "Print release" button to only release specific prints.  Note that if you are sending through a large file it may take a few minutes before the printer will have the file.

The plotter will then print your poster.  It may first move the paper roll backwards and forwards to ensure it is aligned, and then the print itself can also take a few minutes.

Please do not touch the paper roll while printing is ongoing.  When the print is complete, it will be cut from the paper roll and your print should fall into the basket at the front of the plotter - it is then safe collect your print.

As at October 2024, the prices for printing from the plotter are as follows:

  • A0 Colour: £4
  • A0 Black and White: £2
  • A1 Colour: £2
  • A1 Black and White: £1

Printing costs will be deducted from your print credit account the same as for other library printers, and more print credit can be purchased using the print credit kiosk near the library entrance.
