Power BI is used to create management information reports to share with others. Power BI consists of a Microsoft Windows desktop application called Power BI Desktop and an online SaaS (Software as a Service) service called the Power BI service. 

• Power BI Desktop is used to create the reports. Users can get access to Power BI Desktop by placing a request with the helpdesk. For Professional Services staff this is distributed via the software centre, all other users should contact their relevant helpdesks.
• The Power BI service is used to view (consume) reports. Report creators will usually share a link with consumers to get direct access to a report. Alternatively, users can see Power BI reports on the Power BI Service: https://app.powerbi.com/home
