Eduroam is the University's main WiFi network, and all users with a Strathclyde IT account will be able to connect to it on suitable devices (e.g. laptops, phones, tablets).

The attached guide has step by step instructions on how to connect your Linux laptop to eduroam.

You will first need to configure your laptop in order to connect to eduroam. To do this you will need to download and install a configuration tool. This can be done by connecting to the StrathWifiSetup network available in the Library and Student Residences. Different versions of Linux may vary slightly in layout but the process will remain the same. You will only need to configure your device once and thereafter it will automatically connect to eduroam.
