The University library does have some fiction and general reading available, which can all be searched for through the library catalogue SUPrimo, but this is generally a limited collection compared to what you might find in a public library.
If you are looking for books to read for leisure, we would recommend that you join the local public library service, Glasgow Life - this is free for anyone who lives, works or studies within the City of Glasgow.
Glasgow's main public library is the Mitchell Library, located just west of the city centre.
The nearest public library to Strathclyde's campus is the Library at GoMA near George Square, or use Glasgow Life's branch finder to find a library near your home.
You can also join online to start viewing eBooks immediately, though you will still need to visit a public library at some time to turn that into a permanent membership.
