If you are a University graduate, you can join the Library as a subscription member. This costs £30 per year for Strathclyde graduates and £45 per year for graduates of other Universities.
This will entitle you to:
- Access the Library at any time during opening hours.
- Borrow up to 5 items from the Main Collection (not Short Loan).
- Walk In User PC access to electronic resources
Walk in use
“Walk in use” means access to some electronic library services from a dedicated PC in the Library. You will not be able to access electronic services from anywhere else and you will be issued with a new, temporary account on each visit. Please ensure you read further details on this service before considering taking out a membership: https://www.strath.ac.uk/professionalservices/is/policies/walk-in-access/
Please note you will not be able to use our PC labs for word processing or internet access.
Wifi access
You will not automatically have access to our wireless network. If you are from another institution that participates in the eduroam scheme, you may be able to connect to eduroam using the credentials supplied by your home institution.
If you cannot use eduroam you can connect to Wifi Guest. When you connect to this service you will have to create an account. Staff at the Enquiry Desk on level 3 can help with this.
