We are hoping to create two Myplace module sites for a new cohort. They will use the same module codes (X3841 and X3842) that we use for the September cohort. Essentially, they will be another version of these two modules. Is this possible?

This is not really possible as, at present, the class codes define both the syllabus for a class and also the roster of the students undertaking that syllabus in a given academic year. Typically a class code, and so a cohort of students, only runs once in a given academic year.

If the January intake are registered against these class codes they will become part of the same cohort as the existing students doing those modules.

If you require them to be treated as an independent unit, then you will need to ask for an "administrative class code" (from the Student Data & Lifecycle team - [email protected]) that would be based off the original class code that the January intake would be registered against.

These "new" class codes can then either have a separate Myplace site for them or the students can be added as a 2nd group of students within the "parent" class code site.
